Youth Voice

At Streetwise we aim to provide strong leadership and a safe space to discuss ideas and issues with Children and Young People that ensure Childrens’ Rights and Participation is at the heart of all our Service Design and Delivery. We believe that all Children and Young People have an Equal Right of Access to High Quality Services that are responsive to their needs, that challenge inequalities and prejudice, recognise Diversity, and enable them to grow into healthy and resilient adults.

Support for victims of hate

The recent violence and hate in parts of our region have deeply shocked us. We stand in solidarity with communities affected and are keen to offer counselling to young people who have been the victims of hate. For further information about counselling, see below.. Counselling

Counselling is talking to someone about your problems. A Counsellor can help you to look at ways of coping with these challenges. Counselling at Streetwise is friendly, non-judgemental, confidential and free. To make a referral for Counselling please click here

Mental Wellbeing Support

Streetwise offers an early intervention service aimed at support individuals experiencing early stage mental health and wellbeing concerns. Our free and confidential service provides you with an experienced professional to talk to about your concerns and help identify solutions.

Contraception & Sexual Health

The Contraception and Sexual Health drop-in services provide a wide range of contraception and testing for sexually transmitted infections, as well as a number of other sexual health services.

Community Outreach

Streetwise is always developing new and innovative way of working with young people. Come rain or shine our dedicated youth workers are out and about across the streets of Newcastle engaging with young people.

School Hubs

Streetwise is now working in eight different secondary education schools and academies.

We work closely with pupils and school staff to offer the right services that best meet the needs of children and young people. In two of the schools, Jesmond Park Academy and North Gosforth Academy, we offer Early Help Youth Hubs.
